Gain practical human rights tools and strategies to create change in your community.
This is such a complicated moment to be doing advocacy work.
Many of us are navigating systems that feel stuck, overlapping crises that demand our attention, and the personal toll that comes with caring deeply. It’s a lot. And it can be hard to know where to focus, or how to keep moving forward with clarity.
That’s why we created Tools: Advocacy Strategy, a course designed for advocates, artists, mission-driven professionals, and changemakers who want to strengthen their strategies and refine their toolkits.
Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all solution, Tools helps you deepen your understanding of how change happens and and how to choose the tactics that make sense for your context. Through real world case studies, global insights, thought provoking instruction, and a dedicated learning community, participants leave feeling clearer, more confident, and better equipped to respond to the complexity of their advocacy work.
The course includes:
- Five 90-minute live Zoom sessions
- Case studies from across movements and regions
- Strategy tools you can apply immediately to your own issue areas
- A diverse, cross-sector learning community
- A certificate upon completion
Tools is part of ICAAD’s Advocacy Essentials Certificate, a flexible learning program that supports emerging and experienced advocates alike. Participants can take one or multiple modules as stand-alone offerings or complete the full certificate across a series of connected courses. Whether you’re refining your advocacy roadmap, learning how to frame issues for impact, or choosing tactics in tough terrain, the Advocacy Essentials Certificate program is designed to grow with your practice.
